It is a cement-based, single-component, polymer-added powder mortar with extra features, with reduced slip properties and a long working time, used for bonding tiles and ceramics.
Usage areas:
•Indoors and outdoors.
•On horizontal and vertical surfaces.
It is used for bonding small and medium sized floor and wall ceramics and similar materials with a water absorption rate of over 3% .
Advantages:
•Easy to apply.
•Processing time is long, saving time and labor.
•It allows the glued plates to be corrected for a long time.
•It is resistant to water and frost.
•Provides high stability and does not sag in vertical applications.
Preparation of the Surface:
•Make sure that the application surface is cured.
•The application surface must be clean of anti-adhesion substances such as dust, oil, tar, pitch, paint, silicone, curing material, detergent and mold oils.
•Defects on the application surface should be corrected with suitable DEMAFIX repair mortars 24 hours before, depending on the depth and structure of the surface.
•The application surface should be wetted and kept moist. If the surface is very water absorbent, application should be made after applying a primer to the surface.
•In wet area applications, before using ceramic adhesive, waterproofing should be done with DEMAFIX's suitable waterproofing materials.
Preparation of Mortar:
•25 kg DEMAFIX Tile and Ceramic Adhesive Mortar is added to approximately 6 - 7 liters of clean water and mixed preferably with a low speed mixer until there are no lumps.
•The prepared mortar is left to mature for 5 - 10 minutes and used again by mixing for 1 - 2 minutes.
•The mixture in the container should be consumed within 2.5 - 3 hours.
Application Information:
•First of all, a contact layer is formed by pressing the adhesive mortar strongly onto the application surface, and then the product is notched with a notched trowel selected according to the size of the tile.
must be in contact with at least 80% of the back side of the ceramic.
•Depending on the floor slabs used and the smoothness of the floor, if necessary, a double-sided bonding method should be preferred and adhesive mortar should be applied to both the back of the ceramic and the surface, and the slabs should be fixed so that the combing direction is perpendicular to each other.
•To ensure good adhesion, the ceramic must be adhered to the surface by applying force with a rubber-tipped mallet.
•To ensure stronger adhesion in outdoor applications, application should be made by mixing it with a sufficient amount of DEMAFIX LATEX or DEMAFIX DOUBLE COMPONENT INSULATION MATERIAL Component B.
•The application should be completed by leaving a joint space compatible with the ceramic size and using the appropriate DEMAFIX joint filler material.
Consumption:
3.5 - 4 kg/m2
Attention:
•Avoid application at temperatures below +5°C and above +35°C.
•Pay attention to the amount of water added to the mortar. Do not add more water than necessary.
•Avoid application in areas that are frozen, at risk of freezing within 24 hours, or exposed to direct sun and wind.
•Never add water or powder to expired mortar.
PACKAGING:
