It is a cement - based adhesive mortar specially prepared for thermal insulation boards .
Areas of Use :
• Indoors and outdoors.
• Thermal insulation boards on rough and thin plaster applied concrete , brick , aerated concrete and similar surfaces it is used in the adhesion of materials ( EPS and XPS ) .
Advantages :
• It is easy to apply and provides good adhesion.
• It is resistant to water and frost.
• It is not affected by temperature changes.
• It does not sag or jump on vertical surfaces .
Preparation of the surface :
• Care should be taken to ensure that the application surface is cured.
• The application surface must be cleaned of substances that prevent adhesion such as dust , oil , tar , pitch, paint, silicone , curing material , detergent and mold oils .
• The application surface should be wetted and kept moist.
• Defects on the application surface may be removed 24 hours before , depending on the surface depth and structure . It must be corrected with repair mortars.
Preparation of the mortar :
• CONTRAST Thermal Insulation Board Adhesive Mortar is added to approximately 5.5 - 6.5 liters of clean water and mixed preferably with a low speed mixer until no lumps remain . It is mixed as follows.
• The prepared mortar is left to mature for 5 - 10 minutes and is used by mixing again for 1 - 2 minutes.
• The mixture in the container should be consumed within 1.5 hours.
Application Information:
• Depending on the smoothness of the application surface.
Whole Surface Adhesion Method :
Apply CONTRAST Thermal Insulation Board Adhesive Mortar to the entire thermal insulation board with a flat or suitable notched trowel . ( This is the preferred method on smooth surfaces ) .
Stripe and Point Applying Method :
Adhering CONTRAST Thermal Insulation Board in strips to all edges of the thermal insulation board and in points in the middle sections with a trowel . Apply the mortar ( This is the preferred
method on uneven surfaces ).
• A gauge should be used when gluing the sheets during application .
• The adhered sheets should be pressed tightly to ensure a good adhesion , and after 24 hours they should be mechanically attached with dowels .
Consumption :
3 - 4 kg/m 2 (Depending on the application method . )
Attention:
• Avoid application at temperatures below +5 ° C and above +35 ° C.
• Avoid application in areas that are frozen , at risk of freezing within 24 hours , or exposed to direct sun and wind .
• Never add water or powder to expired mortar.
• To prevent heat transfer , place the thermal insulation boards so that there are no gaps between them .
• Be careful not to use sheets that have lost their properties by being exposed to the sun for a long time.
• The sheathing application should not be applied directly on building materials such as pumice or brick , but on rough plastered surfaces .
PACKAGING:
In 25 kg craft bags
Shelf Life :
