Cement based , applicable in both positive and negative hydrostatic pressure ; It is a crystalline waterproofing material that becomes reactive with water and moisture . With its formula consisting of cement, chemicals and specially selected fine aggregates , it reacts with water , moisture
and free lime in the (old/new) concrete and penetrates deeply into the concrete . It does. It forms insoluble minerals in capillary spaces and pores.
Usage Areas : Negative Water Pressure :
• In the internal insulation of basement walls and foundations ,
• In the external insulation of water tanks that are not buried in the ground
•It is used in retaining walls.
• Tunnels and subways.
• Floors and horizontal joints.
• Elevator pits.
Positive Water Pressure :
• In sub - foundation and curtain concrete.
• In water tanks , ( positive application both from inside and outside in underground water tanks )
• In swimming pools.
• Irrigation channels It is used in Concrete pipes.
• Tunnels and culverts,
• Dams
• Cisterns
Advantages : •
It can be applied from the front where both positive and negative hydrostatic pressure is present .
• It integrates with the surface on which it is applied . It penetrates deeply into the concrete volume. Minerals formed after the reaction fill the capillary spaces . Thus, it insulates the concrete both superficially and volumetrically .
• Since it is reactive , reinforced concrete continues to react with water molecules throughout its life and provides water insulation throughout the service life of the structure . • Sub- foundation sprinkling application can be done in any weather conditions where concrete pouring is possible . However, if there is water accumulation on the lean concrete in rainy weather , concrete pouring and dry sprinkling should be done at the same time .
• DEMAFİX There is no need to use a primer before application , curing with water is sufficient.
• It is an extremely easy and effective method to apply DEMAFİX
• Since it fills the capillary gaps inside the concrete and cracks that may occur up to 0.5 mm in size , it will prevent water, moisture and sulphate from entering the concrete . By protecting concrete from chemical and physical damage caused by sulfate attacks , reinforcement corrosion is prevented.
• Because it penetrates the concrete and does not form an insulation layer ;There is no need for XPS, drainage plate and protection wall before filling .
• Air and water vapor are permeable , concrete breathes . It prevents the formation of moisture and odor.
• It can be applied to concrete that has not yet set , new concrete and old concrete.
• It is not affected by UV rays and oxidations.
• It is economical as it saves time and labor.
• It is resistant to the freeze - thaw cycle.
• It is not poisonous . Ideal for drinking water tanks.
Preparation of the surface :
1. UNDER THE FOUNDATION ; There is no need to make any surface preparation for sub - base dry spreading application . IN SECOND CURTAIN CONCRETE;
• The application surface must be cleaned of substances that prevent penetration such as dust, oil , tar, pitch, paint, silicone, curing material , detergent and mold oils .
• Segregations and static cracks in the concrete should be repaired with DEMAFİX Repair Mortar containing active material . Dynamic (moving) cracks should be repaired with FI ̇ XA 's suitable MS, hybrid or poly urethane mastics . Water leaking holes DEMAFİX SHOK PLUG It should be clogged with .
3. IN COLD JOINTS;
The application surface must be cleaned of all materials that prevent adherence .
Preparation of the mortar :
Mixing water should be added to the DEMAFIX CRYSTALIZED powder placed in a clean mixing bowl . A reverse process should not be performed and only enough material should be mixed that can be used within the life of the container . Mixture water is slowly added onto DEMAF I It should be mixed with a mixer for 3 - 5 minutes until a homogeneous and lump - free mixture is obtained . For use in the form of free liquid , 25 kg of powder in 6.5 - 7.5 lt of water DEMAFİX CRYSTALIZED ; For application , the liquid mixture is prepared by adding 25 kg of powder DEMAFİX CRYSTALIZED After mixing for 30 seconds , the material should be ready for use .
Application Information:
There are 3 different application methods for DEMAFİX
2 m x 3 m (6 m 2 ) panels are created for this purpose . 25 kg DEMAFIX It is applied over iron reinforcement with a cost of 2 . The water molecules present in the unset concrete are sufficient for DEMAFIX CRYSTALIZED reaction ; For this reason, it is applied dry .
2. Serbet : It is formed by adding 25 kg of powder to 6.5 - 7.5 liters of water in horizontal and vertical cold joints, just before the mold is closed . It is applied by pouring the thick , viscous syrup with the help of a container or by applying it with a brush .
3. Sliding : On foundation and curtain concrete surfaces ; Before waterproofing old and new concrete , the application surface must be saturated with water and kept moist during application . The liquid mixture prepared by adding 25 kg of DEMAFIX It should be applied with a total consumption of 2 kg / m2 ( For follow - up of the application , use red color DEMAFIX CRYSTALLİZE It is recommended to use ) . The second coat should be applied approximately 3 - 4 hours after the first coat has set , but while it is not yet completely dry . After the application is completed, spray curing with water should be done for 3 - 4 days .
• Since water pressure accelerates the formation of crystals and the penetration of DEMAFIX CRYSTALLIZE into the concrete , structures such as water tanks should be used in the final layer . It should be filled with water 24 hours after the STATIONAL application . Complete waterproofing is usually achieved within 5 - 7 days after application . Earth filling is done at the end of this period .
• The formation of minerals within the concrete and the depth of penetration into the concrete depend on the quality of the concrete , the capillary void ratio in the concrete and the absorbency of the surface . The better the water curing is done , the better the material penetrates into the concrete . No other course liquid other than water should be used .• The crystals formed on the negatively insulated curtain concrete surface may create a very undecorative appearance .In order to prevent this , the last coat should be plastered on DEMAFIX CRYSTALLY while it is still wet and the paint should be applied over the plaster . If ceramic or tile application is to be made , the ceramic adhesive should be applied directly onto the freshly applied DEMAFIX CRYSTALIZED .If these applications are to be made on a cured DEMAFIX CRYSTALIZED surface , the crystals on the surface should be wiped with diluted hydrochloric acid or bleach solution , then Plaster should be applied on it . This wiping process only destroys the crystals on the surface and does not damage the crystals that have penetrated into the concrete .
• Protective glasses and gloves should be used during application .
Packaging:
In 25 kg craft bags
Shelf Life :
It can be stored for 12 months in moisture - free environments and in its unopened packaging , on a pallet with a 10 - layer stack .
Health and Safety :
As with all chemical products, contact with food products , skin , eyes and mouth should not be avoided during use and storage . During the application , work clothes , protective gloves , glasses and masks that comply with work and worker health rules should be used . If swallowed by accident, seek medical advice . In case of contact with skin, wash with plenty of water . It should be stored in places where children cannot reach it .
Consumption :
Sub-Foundation DRY SPREAD: 3 kg/ m2
APPLICATION IN Curtain Concretes : Positive water pressure 2 kg / m2 ( on 2 floors) Negative water pressure 2.5 kg /m2 ( on 2 floors)
SHERBET in cold joints : 3 kg/ m2
• When applying coating on curtain concrete and cold joints , the air temperature should be between +5 ° C and +35 ° C. Product performance It will increase .
• Avoid application in areas that are frozen , at risk of freezing within 24 hours , or exposed to direct sun and wind .
• Never add powder or water to expired mortar . During application , stir frequently to maintain the consistency of the mortar .
