Acrylic dispersion based , high performance , ready to use , used for adhesion of thermal insulation boards . The type of paste used is adhesive .
Usage areas :
• Indoors and outdoors ,
• On mineral - based surfaces.
• Surfaces such as painted surfaces , plasterboard , gypsum plaster , cement chipboard , wood etc.
It is used to adhere thermal insulation boards ( EPS , XPS , stone wool , etc. ) onto it.
Advantages :
• It is ready to use , it does not create dust like cement - based products .
• It does not contain solvents and is odorless. It can be used safely in indoor areas .
• It can be painted especially in indoor areas as it provides a more flexible
and stronger structure than cement - based adhesives . It is preferred for affixing heat and sound insulation boards onto surfaces .
• It is resistant to moisture .
• It is easy to apply and saves labor.
• It has water vapor permeability .
Preparation of the surface :
• Care should be taken to ensure that the application surface is cured .
• The application surface must be cleaned of substances that prevent adhesion such as dust , oil , tar , pitch, paint, silicone , curing material , detergent and mold oils .
• Loose parts on the surface should be removed , cracks should be repaired and the surface should be level .
• Surfaces with high water absorbency, such as aerated concrete , should be primed , if necessary , before DEMAFIX PASTE TYPE ADHESIVE application .
Application Information:
• Before application , DEMAFIX PASTE TYPE ADHESIVE should be mixed well in its own bucket and no external water should be added .
• DEMAFİX layer is created . Then, the entire product surface is combed with an 8 mm toothed trowel . During application , care should be taken not to carry adhesive from the edges of the sheet into the joint gaps .
• Double - sided adhesion method is preferred and DEMAFİX PASTE TYPE ADHESIVE is applied both on the surface and on the insulation boards . A better result will be obtained if the carding directions are applied perpendicular to each other .
• To ensure good adhesion , it is adhered by applying force with the help of a rubber hammer . Particular attention should be paid to the joints of the plates .
• It is recommended that 48 hours after the application of DEMAFIX
Consumption :
3.5 - 4 kg/m 2 (Varies depending on the application surface . )
Attention:
• Avoid application at temperatures below +5 ° C and above +35 ° C.
• Avoid application in areas that are frozen , at risk of freezing within 24 hours , or exposed to direct sun and wind .
• Close the lid of the packaging tightly when not in use .
• Do not add water or any other foreign substance into the product .
• Mix the product at regular intervals during operation .
• If the water absorbency of the surface and the boards to be adhered is low , the drying time of the product will be extended .
• To prevent heat transfer , place the thermal insulation boards on the surface in such a way that there is no gap between them as much as possible .
• Be careful not to use sheets that have lost their properties by being exposed to the sun for a long time .
