Preparation of the surface :​​

• The application surface must be cleaned of weakly structured parts , dust , oil , tar , pitch , paint , silicone , curing material , detergent and residue . It must be cleaned of substances that prevent adhesion such as oils .​​​​ The surface must be dry .​ The edges of the broken surface should be cut as vertically as possible.• If the application surface is concrete or plaster , it must be cured ; if it is metal , it must be cleaned of rust and oil .
• The surface can be primed with DEMAFİ X Epoxy Primer before application .

Mixture :​​​

• DEMAFIX EPOXY REPAIR MORTAR is packaged in three components in appropriate quantities .​​​​Component B ( hardener ) is added onto component A ( epoxy resin ) and mixed with a drill bit at 400 - 600 rpm .​

It should be mixed for 1 - 2 minutes .​​​ Then, component C ( aggregate ) should be slowly added into this mixture and mixed again for 3 - 5 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is obtained . .

• The ingredients are packaged in the correct mixing proportions .​​​​​​​ If a part of the product will be used , this ratio should be taken into consideration .

Application Information:

• The prepared mortar should be applied on the primer before it has dried completely , using a trowel , with a thickness between 4 and 30 mm . Application thickness should not exceed 30 mm in a single coat . It may need to be applied with a thickness of 15 - 20 mm on vertical surfaces . In such cases , re-priming is required before applying a second coat . It may be necessary to use mold for repairs to be made on ceilings and beams . Each layer should be applied by squeezing it thoroughly .​​​​​

• The mortar that completes its cure after 7 days at 20 ° C will become resistant to mechanical loads and abrasive chemical effects .​​​​​

Consumption :​

Approximately 1.9 kg / m2 ( for 1 mm thick person )

Attention:

• Avoid application at temperatures below +10 ° C and above +30 ° C.​​​​​​​​​​

• DEMAFIX EPOXY REPAIR MORTAR should be mixed with a suitable mixing drill and should never be mixed by hand or trowel .​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ r.

• The components of DEMAFIX EPOXY REPAIR MORTAR should be mixed in the correct proportions .​​​​​​​​​​ Do not add external water, solvent , etc. to the mixture .

• Working and hardening times of epoxy resin - based products depend on the ambient and ground temperature .​​​​​​​​​​​ As the viscosity increases at low temperatures , the consumption amount also increases .​​​ The chemical reaction slows down , therefore the pot life and operating time are extended .​​​ At high temperatures , the opposite situation occurs .

• Avoid application in areas that are frozen , at risk of freezing within 24 hours , or exposed to direct sun and wind .

• After the application is completed, it should not be touched for at least 24 hours and water contact should be avoided for 48 hours .

Shelf Life :​​

It can be stored in its unopened packaging in a cool and dry environment between +5 ° C and +30 ° C for 12 months . Protect against freezing .
